Description
This is the driver for the Wireless LAN controller. The Wireless LAN Driver is needed for the Wireless LAN controller to function properly.

Change Points

  1. Fixed: Movie Maker hangs under the following conditions.
    1. A Digital Video Camera is connected to the PC via IEEE1394.
    2. A video file is editted in Windows Movie Maker.
    3. When the video file is sent back to the Digital Video Camera, Windows Movie Maker hangs.

Wireless LAN Card Check

  1. Run device manager.
  2. If any of the following adapters are found under "Network adapters", apply Driver: 7.7.0.343.1. If none of the adapters are found, then this driver is not for your computer.
    • Atheros AR9280 Wireless Network Adapter
    • Atheros AR9281 Wireless Network Adapter

Installation Instructions

  1. Save this file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop.
  2. Save all work in progress, and close all applications.
  3. Double click the downloaded driver to begin the install.
  4. Click OK, then click Unzip.
  5. Click OK, then click Continue if a User Account Control window is displayed.
  6. Click Next to begin installing the new Atheros driver.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Click Next, after selecting the Atheros Client language. English is the default.
  9. Click Next, to begin installing the Atheros Client.
  10. Click I accept the terms... then click Next.
  11. Click Finish.
  12. Restart the computer.
For silent installs
Please run "Setup.exe /s"

Driver Version Verification

  1. Run Device Manager.
  2. Open properties of the appropriate Atheros Wireless "Network adapter".
  3. Click the driver tab.
  4. Verify that the Driver Version is 7.7.0.343.
