During playback of some DVD movies, the Toshiba Portable USB DVD SuperMulti Drive may spin down and then back up, causing movie playback to stall for about two seconds, and then resume.

This problem happens with the WinDVD player software -- but not with other player software, including Windows Media Player, and the Toshiba DVD Player.
