Description
The card reader drivers are required for proper operation of your flash media card reader installed in your computer.

Change Points

The following issue is fixed with the JMicron Card Reader Driver V1.00.18.07:
  1. Data can not be sent to the video camera via IEEE1394 (i.LINK) from the Windows Movie Maker Application.
Note: In addition to the V1.00.18.07 driver update, the computer's BIOS must be meet the revision level specified below:
  1. Qosmio X300/X305 - BIOS V1.80 or higher
  2. Qosmio F50/F55 - BIOS V1.80 or higher

Driver Install Instructions

  1. Save the file to the Windows Desktop.
  2. Uninstall the existing driver.
    1. Click Start, Control Panel, Programs, and Programs and Features.
    2. Double-click JMicron JMB38X Flash Media Controller.
    3. Click Remove to remove the driver, then click Finish.
    4. Note: If a "Found New Hardware" window is displayed ignore it, or click the close button.
    5. Restart the computer.
  3. On the Windows Desktop, double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
  4. Answer the remaining prompts to complete the display driver installation.
    1. Click OK, Unzip, then OK.
    2. If a "User Account Control Window" is displayed click Allow.
    3. Click Install when the JMicron window is displayed, then Finish when the install is complete.
  5. Restart the computer.

Driver Version Verification

  1. Click Start, type appwiz.cpl then press Enter.
  2. Scroll down to highlight JMicron JMB38X Flash Media Controller.
  3. Click Organize, Layout then click Details Pane.
  4. Verify that the "Product Version" shows "1.00.18.07".
