Description

This driver is needed to insure the proper operation of the sound device in your computer. This driver is required for playback of Wave and MIDI files.

Installation Instructions

Save this file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop
Uninstall the existing Conexant Audio Driver by clicking Control Panel, Programs, then "Programs and Features".
Double-click "Conexant HD Audio".
If a User Account Control message is displayed, click Continue.
Restart the computer.
Install the new driver by double-clicking the downloaded file icon on the Windows Desktop, and following the displayed instructions.
Restart the computer.

Driver Version Verification

Run Device Manager.
Double-click Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 under Sound, video and game controllers.
Click the Driver tab and verify that the driver version is 4.36.7.50.
