Description
Provides system Fn hotkey support (Instant Security, LCD brightness , Display Switch etc.) on applicable models. This software is a foundation for other Toshiba-provided utilities, and must be installed prior to installing other Toshiba Software.

  1. FN + F5 does not work for limited users.

Update Instructions

  1. Save the file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop.
  2. Remove the old version by running the downloaded file once:
    • Double-click the downloaded file.
    • If a User Account Control message is displayed, click Continue.
    • Click OK, Unzip then OK again.
    • Answer the remaining prompts to complete the removal.
    • Restart the computer.
  3. Install the new version by running the downloaded file again:
    • Double-click the downloaded file to begin the update.
    • If a User Account Control message is displayed, click Continue.
    • Click OK, Unzip then OK again.
    • Answer the remaining prompts to complete the installation.
    • Restart the computer.

Version Verification

  1. Click Start, Control Panel, "Add or Remove Programs," then HotKey Utility
  2. Verify that 3.0.4.0 is displayed in support information
