Issue


After you install a memory module, it may not be possible to turn the computer On. The On/Off light on the front of the computer may continuously blink in the pattern blue-orange-orange -- indicating an incorrect memory configuration.

Resolution


If there is only one memory module in the computer, it must be in Slot A - the uppermost of the two memory module slots. Slot A is positioned nearest to the back edge of the P205 models, as shown in the illustration below. See the computer's User's Guide for detailed memory installation instructions.

If there is one module installed, and it is in Slot B, then remove it and re-insert it into Slot A. If the module is already in Slot A, remove and re-insert it into Slot A, making sure to carefully follow the installation instructions in the User's Guide.
