Adjusting the Repeat Delay and Repeat Rate in the Keyboard Properties window of the Windows Control Panel (shown below) may have no effect on how quickly characters appear when a key is held down to cause a character to appear repeatedly.- Resolution
Update the computer's BIOS to fix this problem, by clicking the appropriate link for your computer model from the following list:- Satellite A300 / A305, Part No. PSAG0U and PSAG4U: BIOS version 1.50
- Satellite A300D / A305D, Part No. PSAH0U: BIOS version 1.60
- Satellite A210 / A215 and Satellite Pro A210, Part No. PSAFGU and PSAFHU: BIOS version 1.80
The computer's Part No. is printed on a label on the underside of the computer.
These BIOS versions are the newest available as of August 2008. Yet-newer BIOS versions may be available from the Toshiba Support Website, at support.toshiba.com.
