Changes were made to correct the following:
  1. The Modem does not work on PCs using the TOSHIBA Software Modem with Windows Vista 64-bit and 4G RAM.

Driver Update Instructions

  1. Save the file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop.
  2. Save open files and close all open applications
  3. Remove the old driver:
    • From Control Panel select Programs, then "Programs and Features"
    • Select "TOSHIBA Software Modem."
    • Click "Uninstall/Change" button and then confirm the removal by clicking Yes.
    • Click "Yes" to restart the computer.
  4. Install the new driver:
    • Double-click the downloaded file to begin the update.
    • Follow the instructions to complete the update.

Toshiba Software Modem version verification

  1. Run "Device Manager." ( Start -> Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> Device Manager )
  2. Double-click Modems.
  3. Double-click Toshiba Software Modem.
  4. Click the Driver tab.
  5. Confirm the driver version.
