Installation Instructions

Note: Follow the instructions below in the order presented.

1. Save this file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop


2. Uninstall the old Realtek High Definition Audio Driver

  1. Uninstall the existing Realtek Audio driver by clicking Start, Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs, choose Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, then click Remove.
  3. Click Yes.
  4. Choose Yes, I want to restart my computer now then click the Finish button.

3. Install the new Realtek Audio Driver

  1. Install the new Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, driver_audio_realtek_os2007296a.exe by double-clicking the icon saved in step one.
  2. Click OK, Unzip, OK, then Next.
  3. Choose Yes, I want to restart my computer now then click the Finish button.
Note: If the TOSHIBA Mic Effect Utility is installed on your computer, the utility must be reinstalled. Remove the existing TOSHIBA Mic Effect utility first, then reinstall the utility. The TOSHIBA Mic Effect setup image is found in C:\TOSAPINS\TOSHIBA Mic Effect V2.08.04. If the Toshiba Mic Effect Utility is not installed in your computer, then skip steps four and five.

4. Uninstall the TOSHIBA Mic Effect utility

  1. Uninstall the existing TOSHIBA Mic Effect utility by clicking Start, Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs, choose TOSHIBA Mic Effect utility, then click Remove.
  3. Click Yes.
  4. Choose Yes, I want to restart my computer now then click the Finish button.

5. Install the TOSHIBA Mic Effect utility

  1. Double-click the Setup.exe file then click Next.
  2. Choose Yes, I want to restart my computer now then click the Finish button.
