dynadock: no image on external monitor

Issue


If an external display monitor connected to the Toshiba dynadock is blank (there's no image in the monitor), try the troubleshooting tips presented below.

Procedure


Troubleshooting tips

  • Make sure that the monitor is connected to the dynadock's video output connector.

  • Check that the USB and power cables are properly connected to the dynadock.

  • If the monitor does not support EDID (Extended Display Identification Data), check that the dynadock's display adapter is set to a resolution that is supported by the monitor.

  • Make sure that the "DisplayLink Service" is listed as "started" under Windows Services (Click My Computer, then Manage, then Services -- as shown below).
