- Issue
- Cisco wireless LAN connection speed can only be set to Auto.
- Procedure
The Cisco Aironet Client Utility software provides the ability to set the connection speed to 1, 2, 5.5 and 11 Mbps as well as Auto Rate Selection. The only speed setting that works with Cisco Access Points and Agere AP-1000 is Auto Rate.
The Advanced Properties Tab in Device Manager for the device also has the ability to set the data rate. Again, only the Auto setting works.
Otherwise the connection will not be established.
