Requirements:

• Active AvantGo.com account.
• Personal Computer with an available USB port.
• Active connection to your Internet Service Provider.

To get an account:
From a web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or AOL Browser), logon to the following address: www.avantgo.com

1. Click on the "Sign Up" link.
2. Click on "New Users Click Here" link.
3. Select Pocket PC 2002 then click Next.
4. Fill in the requested information and complete the process by following the remaining on-screen instructions.
5. Make note of the Username and Password selected for use in setting up the Toshiba e570 PDA.

Setting up the Toshiba e570 PDA for AvantGo.com sync:

1. Tap on Start, Settings, and then Connection on the Toshiba e570 PDA.
2. Tap on the AvantGo Connect link.
3. Under "Server Settings", make sure AvantGo.com is highlighted, then Tap on Properties.
4. Verify the following information exists under the Server address section: Hostname: sync.avantgo.com Port: 80.
5. Under the "Your Account"section, enter the username you selected when you created your AvantGo.com account.
6. Tap on the Set Password... button and enter the password for you AvantGo.com account then tap on OK.
7. Under the "Connection Options" section, place a check mark in the options for Connect to this server and Refresh all content at next sync.
8. Tap on the OK button on the top right-hand corner and close out the remaining screens.
9. Dock the Toshiba e570 PDA to its cradle (must be connected to PC's USB Port) and "Sync" the device to your computer. (Assuming that the Toshiba e570 PDA and its accompanying software has previously been setup on this PC and there is an active connection to the internet)
   
   COMMENTS:
   The AvantGo applet on the PDA will allow users to download webpages to the PDA for mobile viewing. These pages are not updated dynamically but must be cradled and sync'd to receive the latest webpage updates. The pages and information viewed are "snap-shots" of their information at the time of download from AvantGo.com. To download and update websites using AvantGo, the user must have an active AvantGo.com account.
