Memory Stick PRO Duo^TM is a relatively new flash memory card design from Sony Corporation. It is considerably smaller than the earlier Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO cards.

The Memory Stick Duo Adapter (shown at right, with a card) allows the smaller Memory Stick PRO Duo cards to be inserted into (and removed from) the deeper Memory Stick slots.

Some Toshiba portable computer models specifically support the Memory Stick PRO Duo cards, while other models do not. The Memory Stick Duo Adapter does not make the Memory Stick PRO Duo cards compatible with memory card slots in Toshiba computers.

Check the Detailed Specifications document for your computer model to determine whether or not it supports the use of Memory Stick PRO Duo cards. Detailed Spec documents are available at http://pcsupport.toshiba.com .

If the Detailed Spec lists Memory Stick PRO Duo^TM separately from Memory Stick PRO^TM, then both types of card are supported by the computer. Otherwise, the computer supports only the earlier Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO cards.

If the Detailed Spec doesn't show support for the Memory Stick PRO Duo cards, you can access these cards from your computer by using an external card reader/writer, which is typically connected to the computer's USB port.
