Version 2.50.04 of the Toshiba HD DVD Player application has been released -- to replace previous versions, which were pre-installed on the Qosmio G35 AV-660 (PQG32U-xxxxxx) model.

Problems fixed by the V2.50.04 update to the Toshiba HD DVD Player include:

• The size of the special feature image in some titles is reduced while fast-forwarding to a menu screen.

• The video image from a previously selected item may appear, or operation may be temporarily suspended when selecting special features on some titles.

• The sub video window may be the wrong size, or located in the wrong position on some titles.

• Application errors may occur while playing some titles.
  

Also, support for new titles has been added.

Follow the steps to download and install the Toshiba HD DVD Player update, version 2.50.04.

1. Click the following link to download the Toshiba HD DVD Player update. Save the file to the Windows Desktop.

2. Close all running applications.

3. On the Windows Desktop, double-click the downloaded file toshibahddvdplayer_v25004_os2006308a.exe to start the installation.

4. Click OK , then click Unzip.

5. Click OK, then click Next.

6. Click Yes to start the update. If a message box titled  "Shared File Detected" appears, click Yes to continue.
     
7. Click Finish.

8. Restart the computer.

To verify that the upgrade completed successfully, launch the Toshiba HD DVD Player and click the Settings button at the upper right of the video display window. The version number indicated in the window should now be 2.50.04.
