Subtitles are ON by default, on the TDP-ET20U projector.

• To turn subtitles OFF, follow these steps, using the projector's remote control:

1. Press the DVD SETUP button. The DVD SETUP menu will appear.

2. Press the right arrow button. The LANGUAGE SETUP menu will appear.

3. Press the down arrow button to highlight SUBTITLE LANG.

4. Press the right arrow button to move the highlight over to the subtitle language options.

5. Use the up or down arrow button to highlight OFF as the desired 'subtitle language'.

6. Press the Enter button [ ] to set 'OFF' as the new default subtitle language .

7. Press the down arrow button to highlight EXIT SETUP.

8. Press the Enter button [ ] to dismiss the DVD setup menu.

To turn subtitles back ON, follow the procedure above to select an actual subtitle language (English, or any language selection other than 'OFF').

• To temporarily turn subtitles OFF

Press and release the SUB TITLE button on the projector's remote control to cycle through the selections until [OFF]  appears on the projected image.

The subtitles will re-appear when the projector is turned off and then on again.
