Resolution

This issue can be resolved by assigning resources to the IrDA Port using the following procedure:

  1. Click on the Windows NT "Start Menu" and select "Settings" and then select "Control Panel".
  2. In Control Panel select "Toshiba HW Setup" and then select the "Serial" tab.
  3. Under IrDA Port change the setting from "Not Used" to "120H/2F8H/3" and set the DMA Channel to "1".
