The Portege R200 includes an integrated Marvell 88E8053 network adapter which support 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T Ethernet connections, at rates up to 1 Gigabit per second (1Gbps).

The Slim Port Replicator's built-in network adapter supports 10Base-T and 100Base-TX Ethernet connections, at rates up to 100 Megabits per second (100Mbps).

When the Portege R200 is used with the Slim Port Replicator, the connection speed is limited to the Slim Port Replicator's maximum rate of 100Mbps.
