• A change was made to correct a problem that some PC cards with a single spec for 16 bit and 3.3VDC may malfunction.

• Power management controlling power consumption and temperature has been improved.
• The CHGBIOSA.EXE program was revised to support a BIOS chip from a new source.
• NOTE: This BIOS does NOT provide ACPI functionality. This version of the BIOS is ONLY TO BE USED with Windows 98 display driver 6.45.5441-29.98.22 and smaller, Windows 95 display driver 6.45.5441-29.95mv22 and smaller, or Windows NT4 display driver 4.810.70ml and greater.

• A change was made to support Windows 2000.
• A problem of data corruption was corrected when copying a file to a 120MB Floppy Diskette. Using a SuperDisk (LS-120), when using Windows 95 / 98, opening the copied file under DOS mode of Windows 95 / Windows 98, data of the file in a field of more than 50MB would be corrupted.
• Installing a driver from the Floppy Diskette was impossible when a new device was detected during Windows 98 installation.

• Corrected a rare problem that caused computer to hang at the Toshiba logo screen.
• Corrected a rare problem that caused computers with LAN, to boot with a blacked out screen.

• Increased the "wait time" for the modem chipset from when the chipset first starts receiving current to the time the chipset resets. Time was increased from 10ms to 20 ms.
• Corrected a possible problem with Windows 2000 on the Japanese domestic models of this computer.
• Corrected a bug in the Intel Pentium IIX4 processor in Windows 98.

• Corrected a problem that would not allow for the installation of Windows 2000
• Corrected a problem that would not allow the use of the Xircom Ethernet card 10/100+Modem56
• Corrected a problem returning from hibernation under Windows 98 when USB Legacy Emulation was set to "Enable"
• Corrected a problem of properly emulating COM port when running Windows 2000
• Corrected a problem in Windows 2000 that caused a reboot to hang when using a CardBus card in the computer. The problem was caused by an intermittent failure of the CardBus card to reset when the computer was powered off.
• Corrected an intermittent resume failure problem when running Windows 2000
• Corrected an intermittent failure of the AccuPoint mouse after hot-undocking when an external mouse was connected to the port replicator.
