Unable to print from Acrobat Reader after removing the Franklin Covey Tablet Planner

Issue


If the Franklin Covey Tablet Planner (30 day trial) program is un-installed, the following message may appear when printing from Adobe Acrobat Reader:

"Please use the Control Panel to select a default printer."

...even though another printer has been selected as the default printer for Windows.

Resolution


Delete the default printer and then add it again, as follows:

1. Click the Windows XP Start button, and and then click Printers and Faxes.

2.Click on the default printer (the one with the big check mark) and then click Delete this printer in the the menu at the left.

3. Select Add a printer in the the menu at the left. The Add Printer Wizard will appear. Follow its instructions to install the default printer again.

It should now be possible to print from Acrobat Reader.
