How to install the Toshiba Display Power Save driver for Windows 2000

Issue
Windows 2000 does not have native support for the Toshiba Display Power Save Driver. Toshiba has included a floppy diskette with the M500D server for Windows 2000 Support.
Procedure
To install the Toshiba Display Power Save Driver, follow these steps:
  1. Log on as administrator or equivalent.
  2. Insert the floppy disk labeled “Toshiba Display Power Save Driver” into the floppy disk drive.
  3. To run the setup program for the Toshiba Display Power Save Drive, do one of the following:
    • Using My Computer or Windows Explorer navigate to a:\TDPSV folder and run "setup.exe";
    • go to /Start /Run, at the a: prompt, type "a:\tdpsv\setup" and press ENTER.
  4. Reboot the system after Setup has finished installing the driver.

COMMENTS:
Toshiba provides the following drivers for support within the Windows® 2000 Server Operating System. Install the following driver(s) after the Windows 2000 installation is complete:

  • Toshiba Display Power Save Driver
  • D-Link DFE550TX Fast Ethernet LAN Driver
