Issue
The Accupoint 2 mouse includes 2 additional programmable buttons, however the software bundled on several Toshiba models (with Windows 2000) does not include programming support for these buttons. The software bundles for these models only include Microsoft's generic PS/2 mouse driver which presets the extra buttons of the Accupoint 2 products for scrolling (see "Default button operation below").
Procedure

Install Logitech's newly released MouseWare V9.0 driver which includes
support for the Accupoint 2 under Windows 2000 and offers programming
support for the 2 extra buttons.

Logitech's MouseWare V.90 driver, along with applicable support
documentation, is available for download from:

COMMENTS:
Default button operation:
The Accupoint 2 mouse buttons with Microsoft's Generic PS/2 drivers,
by default, function as follows:
  Left button - Scroll upward
  Right Button - Scroll downward

Button Recommendations - Logitech MouseWare V9.0
Toshiba typically recommends setting the left button for "Internet
Back" and the right button for "Universal Scroll", however, these
buttons can be set for other functions including Start Menu, Double-
Click, Copy, F12, etc.
Internet Back - With this option, each time the left button is
pressed, you will go back one screen, similar to clicking the Back
button (icon) that is normally found on your Internet Browser.
Universal Scroll - Allows the Accupoint stick to function as a
  adjustable-speed scroll control, either in:
  - Temporary mode - Hold the button while flexing the stick, or
  - Locked mode - Tap the button to set the lock and then flex the
     stick to scroll.
Note: Tap any mouse button to clear the "scroll-lock".
