
Power Save Alarm (program run and warning) options not functioning

- The Power Saver Properties related to running a program, having the computer shuts down at a specific time with an audio alarm or script warning fails to function as set.
- Procedure
COMMENTS: (Functions as designed) Alarm Sounds, Alarm Messages and Run Program options are valid only if the "Transit To" is set to "No Action". If "Transit to" is set to Hibernate/Standby or Shutdown the computer will begin it's shutdown immediately and not process other Power Saver requests that may be set including Audio, Script alarm and/or Program run settings. IMPORTANT: The system will automatically switch to Standby or Hibernate just before the battery life expires, even without setting a flag. RESOLUTION: Reset "Transit to" setting to "No Action". 1. Go to the Control Panel and double-click on the Power Saver icon. 2. Highlight the Running on batteries mode(Long Life, Normal,High Power) you wish to set. 3. Click on Details and then Click on the Alarm Tab. 4. On the "Transit to" line verify that No Action is displayed in the option box. 5. Set your choice using one of the following. Click "Override all Modes with settings here...". Answer Yes to set all Battery modes the same. Click Apply to set the options only for the currently displayed Battery Mode. 6. Close the Power Saver Properties window by clicking Ok.
