NOTE: After following the instructions in this guide, all of the preinstalled programs will be on your hard disk and ready to use. The appearance of your desktop may be different than when you turned the computer on the first time, but these changes are cosmetic only and will not affect the operation of your programs. Before You Start
The instructions in this section make the following assumptions:- Your hard disk is already formatted.
- You'll install only the options that were preinstalled at the factory.
Windows 95 opens the Control Panel.
Installing the S3 Display Drivers
To install the display drivers:- 4 Click the Settings tab to bring it to the front.
- 5 Click Advanced Properties.
- 6 On the Adapter tab, click Change.
- 7 Click Have Disk.
- 8 Make sure the Applications CD is inserted in the CD-ROM drive, then type e:\display and click OK.
- 9 Select S3 Inc. Virge/MX and click OK.
- 10 Click Close.
- 11 In the Display Properties dialog box, select 256 Color from the Color Palette box.
- 12 Move the Desktop area slider to select 1024 by 768.
- 13 Click Close.
- 14 Click Yes to restart the computer.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing the Windows 95 OSR2 Supplement
To install the Windows 95 OSR2 Supplement:- 4 When the installation is complete, press Alt and F4 simultaneously to close the MS-DOS(R) box.
- 5 Restart Windows 95 for the changes to take effect.

Installing MACHINE.INF for IRQ Routing
To install the MACHINE.INF file for IRQ Routing:- 4 When prompted, press C to continue.
- 5 When the installation is complete, press Alt and F4 simultaneously to close the MS-DOS window.

To install the Tecra(TM) 750 Machine Identifier:

Installing the Unimodem V Drivers
To install the Unimodem V Drivers:- 1 Insert the Applications CD into the CD-ROM drive, if you haven't already done so.
- 2 Double-click the My Computer icon.
- 4 Click Open.
- 5 Double-click Unimodem.
- 6 With the secondary AccuPoint button, click unimodv.
- 7 Click Install.
- 8 When the installation is complete, click Yes to restart the computer.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing America Online (Update)
To install America Online(R) (Update):- 2 Click America Online (Update).
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Yes.
- 5 Click the America Online icon.
- 6 Click Continue.
- 7 Click Install.
- 8 Click OK.
- 9 Click OK.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing the HDD Password Utility (DOS)
To install the HDD Password Utility (DOS):- 4 When prompted, press C to continue.
- 5 When the installation is complete, press Alt and F4 simultaneously to close the MS-DOS window.
Installing the HDD Password Utility (Windows 95)
To install the HDD Password Utility for Windows 95, you'll need one formatted 1.44 MB diskette.- 1 Insert the formatted diskette into the diskette drive.
- 2 Insert the Applications CD into the CD-ROM drive, if you haven't already done so.
- 3 Click Start, then point to Programs.
- 4 Click MS-DOS Prompt.
- 5 At the MS-DOS prompt, type xcopy e:\hddwin\*.* a: and press Enter.
- 6 Type a: and press Enter.
- 7 Type install and press Enter.
CAUTION: Do not try to install these files directly from the Applications CD. They must be installed from diskette. - 8 After the installation is complete, type exit and press Enter to close the MS-DOS window.
- 9 Restart the computer.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing Microsoft NetMeeting
To install Microsoft NetMeeting(TM):
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing RingCentral
To install RingCentral(R):- 2 Click RingCentral.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Next to accept the default destination directory.
- 6 Click Next to accept the default setting, ``I want to save all my old messages and mailboxes.''
- 7 Click Next.
- 8 Click Next to accept the default setting, ``I want to leave my old printer as default.''
- 9 Click Next.
- 10 Click Yes to restart the computer.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing Intel Video Phone
To install the Intel(R) Video Phone:- 2 Click Intel Video Phone.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the -installation.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing Toshiba magiCDisc
To install Toshiba magiCDisc(TM):- 2 Click Toshiba magiCDisc.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click OK.
- 5 Click OK to accept the default directory.
- 6 Click OK to complete the installation.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing the Toshiba User's Guide
To install the Toshiba User's Guide:
Windows 95 opens the Run dialog box.
Installing the Toshiba Wallpaper
To install the Toshiba wallpaper:- 2 Type e:\toshlogo\install and click OK.
- 3 When prompted, press C to continue.
- 4 When the installation is complete, press Alt and F4 simultaneously to close the MS-DOS window.
- 5 Click Start, then point to Settings.
- 6 Click Control Panel.
- 8 Click the Background tab to bring it to the front.
- 9 From the Wallpaper box, select Toshlogo.
- 10 Click OK.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing Toshiba Product Registration
To install Toshiba Product Registration:- 2 Click Toshiba Product Registration.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click OK.
- 5 Click Mobile.
- 6 Click OK to accept the default destination directory.
- 7 Click OK to accept the default program group.
- 8 Click OK.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing the Yamaha Audio Rack
To install the Yamaha Audio Rack:- 2 Click Yamaha Audio Rack.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click OK.
- 5 Click OK to accept the default destination directory.
- 6 Click OK.
Installing IntelliSync 97 for Windows
To install IntelliSync 97(TM) for Windows, you'll need a one formatted, 1.44 MB diskette.- 1 Insert the formatted diskette into the diskette drive.
- 2 Insert the Applications CD into the CD-ROM drive, if you haven't already done so.
- 3 Click Start, then point to Programs.
- 4 Click MS-DOS Prompt.
- 5 At the MS-DOS prompt, type e: and press Enter.
- 6 Type xcopy e:\intelli\oem_d~11\*.* a:\ and press Enter.
- 10 Click Open.
- 11 Double-click the Intelli folder.
- 12 Double-click Setup.exe.
- 13 Click Next.
- 14 Click Next to accept the default destination directory.
- 15 Click Next to accept the default program folder.
- 16 With the diskette in the diskette drive, click OK.
- 17 Click Yes if you would like IntelliSync in the Startup group.
- 18 To configure an infrared device, click Yes.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing Indeo Video Interactive (32-bit)
To install Indeo(R) Video Interactive (32-bit):
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing the Jixxa Puzzle Sampler
To install the Jixxa Puzzle Sampler:- 2 Click Jixxa Puzzle Sampler.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click OK.
- 5 Click OK to accept the default destination directory.
- 6 Click OK.
- 7 Click OK to complete the installation.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing LANDesk Client Manager
To install LANDesk(R) Client Manager:- 2 Click LANDesk Client Manager.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Next.
- 6 Click Next to accept the default of 750CDT.
- 7 Click Next to accept the default destination directory.
- 8 Click Next to accept the default program folder.
- 9 Select Yes, restart the computer and click Finish.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing Mediamatics Arcade Media Player
To install Mediamatics Arcade Media Player:

Installing Toshiba CardWorks
To install Toshiba CardWorks(TM), you'll need two formatted, 1.44 MB diskettes.Creating the Installation Diskettes
Before you can install the software, you must create two installation diskettes.- 1 Insert one formatted diskette into the diskette drive.
- 2 Insert the Applications CD into the CD-ROM drive, if you haven't already done so.
- 3 Click Start, then point to Programs.
- 4 Click MS-DOS Prompt.
- 6 Remove the diskette from the diskette drive and label it Disk 1 of 2.
- 7 Insert the second formatted diskette into the diskette drive.
- 8 At the MS-DOS prompt, type e:\cardwks\disk2\*.* a:\ and press Enter.
- 9 Remove the diskette from the diskette drive and label it Disk 2 of 2.
- 10 Type exit and press Enter to close the MS-DOS window.
Installing CardWorks from the Installation Diskettes
You cannot install CardWorks from the Applications CD. Instead, use the CardWorks installation diskettes.- 3 Type a:\setup and click OK.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Next.
- 6 Click Next to accept the default destination directory.
- 7 Select Typical and click Next.
- 8 Select 2 Slots and click Next.
- 9 When prompted, remove Disk 1 from the diskette drive and replace it with Disk 2.
- 10 Click No when prompted to open the Readme file.
- 11 Click Finish to complete the installation and restart the computer.
Windows 95 opens the My Computer window.
Installing the TAP System
To install the TAP System:- 2 Click TAP System.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Next to accept the default directory.
- 6 Click Finish.
- 7 Click Finish to restart the computer.

Installing the Toshiba Access Panel
To install the Toshiba Access Panel:- 2 Click Toshiba Access Panel.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Finish.
- 6 Click Finish to restart.

Installing Fn-esse
To install Fn-esse(TM):- 2 Click Fn-esse.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Next to accept the default destination directory.

- 4 When prompted, click Yes to accept the End User License Agreement for Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- 5 Click Yes to restart the computer.

Installing VideoBrush Whiteboard
To install VideoBrush(TM) Whiteboard:- 2 Click VideoBrush Whiteboard.
- 3 Click Install.
- 4 Click Next.
- 5 Click Yes to accept the software license agreement.

- 7 Click Next to accept the default directory.
- 8 Click Next to accept the default program folder.
- 9 Click Next.
