Issue
When using a 3rd party CD-ROM kit that is not supported by the Recovery boot disk that ships w/ computer. The recovery CD process will not work and will generate a "Bad command" error message.
Procedure

When using a 3rd party CD-ROM kit that is not supported by the Recovery boot disk that ships w/ computer. The recovery CD process will not work and will generate a "Bad command error message"


Resolution:
With a DOS text editor, edit Autoexec.bat file, and add the following commands.

1. Add SET CDDRV=Q:
2. Add SET PATH=A:\;%CDDRV%\;%CDDRV%\BIN
