Information
Installation of RAS on Windows NT 4.0 Systems
  1. Install the latest Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack (Service Pack 5 is the latest as of July 1999.)
  2. Right click Network Neighborhood
  3. If Networking is not installed follow these steps:
    1. Click the yes key to install Networking
    2. Select Remote Access to the network
    3. On the adapter setup screen click next
    4. Select on or all Protocols
    5. Click next
    6. Click next
    7. Click next
    8. NT will ask for the workstation CD
    9. Type the path in for the CD-ROM (i.e. E:\i386 Note:The CD ROM drive letter might be different.)
    10. press continue button
    11. If using TCP/IP a message will come up saying is there a DHCP Server on the Network
    12. Click no
    13. Remote Access Setup Dialog Box appears
    14. Click Yes
    15. Install new modem wizard appears
    16. Have Windows search for the modem
    17. Location Information screen appears
    18. Enter your area code
    19. Click finish
    20. Go to step 9 (below)
  4. Click Services Tab
  5. Click add button
  6. Select Remote Access Service
  7. NT Will ask for the CD-ROM
  8. Add RAS Device window appears
  9. Select modem
  10. Press the ok button
  11. Remote Access Screen shows your modem
  12. Click continue
  13. RAS installs the software needed
  14. NT will ask for the CD-ROM
  15. Network bindings Screen appears
  16. Click next button
  17. Click next
  18. Click next
  19. Click Finish
  20. Restart the computer
  21. Re-install the latest Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack (Service Pack 5 is the latest as of July 1999.)
