Information: What is USB

USB stands for Universal Serial Bus and is a new, very high speed connection for peripheral devices (like printers, keyboards, mice, monitors, etc.) Each peripheral device will actually have two USB connections (one in and one out). Therefore the devices can be "daisy chained" together i.e. the keyboard plugged into the computer and then a mouse plugged into a keyboard, etc. Therefore, the single USB port on the Portege 300 will allow all of the necessary devices to be connected to it.
