No Resource Tab for the Lucent (LTWIN) Modem

- 1.) Click on Start>Settings>Control Panel and Double-Click on Modems.
2.) Remove all Modems Listed and close out of Modem Properties.
3.) Double-Click on System and click on the Device Manager Tab.
4.) Remove both Communication Ports and LPT Port.
5.) Remove Anything under Modem (If Present); ModemVoice (If Present) and Other Devices (If Present). Close out of System Properties.
6.) Click on Start>Programs>Windows Explorer.
7.) Click on the + to the left of Windows and highlight the INF Directory. Look at the screen to the right.
8.) Locate and delete the following files: DRVDATA.BIN, DRVIDX.BIN, MDMSIER.INF, OEM3.INF, SERWAVE.INF and SIERVOICE.INF.
9.) Close out of Exploring - C:\WINDOWS\INF
10.) Click on Start>Find>Files or Folders and press Enter.
11.) Type the following file names one at a time then click on FIND NOW: LTCOM.VXD, LTWAVE.DRV, LTDSVD.DLL, LTMODEM.INI, LTMODEM.VXD, LTVCD.VXD and LTMODEM.INF. When you find each one, highlight it and press the delete key on the keyboard. When all are found and deleted, close out of the Find:All Files Window
12.) Click on Start>Run, then type in Regedit and press Enter.
13.) Click on the plus to the left of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE; then System; then Current Control Set; then Services and then finally Class.
14.) If ModemVoice is present, highlight and delete it.
15.) Highlight My Computer on the left side of the screen.
16.) Click on Edit>Find and type VoiceDialNumberSetup and click Find Next. (path=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/Class/Modem/0000/VoiceDialNumberSetup/ab3)
17.) On the right side of the split screen locate at+vrn=10.
18.) Highlight the ab flag associated with this line, right click, and select modify.
19.) Change the 10 to a 2 and click OK. The line should now read at+vrn=2.
20.) Exit the registry and reboot the computer.
21.) Close out of the Registry Editor.
22.) Click on Start>Shutdown and choose Restart the computer and click on YES.
23.) Press F1 to enter Setup.
24.) Press F5 then Enter.
25.) Highlight Advanced, then click on Power Management Configuration and press Enter.
26.) Highlight the VESA Video Power Down and press Enter.
27.) Choose Sleep and press Enter.
28.) Press F10 then Enter.
29.) Modem will Plug-N-Play and will ask for a disk. DO NOT INSERT THE WINDOWS95 CD-ROM. If it does ask for it insert the LTWIN Modem Drivers Disk in the A drive and make sure it is looking in A:. Press Enter.
