
How to copy audio files to the Gigabeat MEG201 using Windows Media Player (version 9 or 10)

Windows Media Player (version 9 and version 10) may be used to copy audio files to the Gigabeat player. It's necessary to first install the Gigabeat Windows Media Player drivers on your computer, as follows...
Installation of Gigabeat Windows Media Player version 9 drivers:- Insert the drivers CD. The installation program should start automatically (if Autoplay is enabled).
- Select “Install Windows Media driver for gigabeat”. (Accept the default settings.)
- Connect the Gigabeat to the computer per instructions in the Quick Start Guide.
- Connect the Gigabeat's AC adapter to the Gigabeat, and to an AC outlet.
- Turn the Gigabeat on. Allow Windows a few seconds to detect the Gigabeat.
- Start Windows Media Player version 9.
- Click File on the top menu.
- Select Copy, then select Copy to Portable Device…
- Select the items to copy in the left frame.
- On the right side, under “Items on Device”, click the down arrow.
- Select the Gigabeat.
- Click the Copy icon at upper right.
Once the copying is finished you should be able to play the audio files on the Gigabeat.

- Insert the drivers CD. The installation program should start automatically (if Autoplay is enabled).
- Select “Install Windows Media driver for gigabeat”. (Accept the default settings.)
- Connect the Gigabeat to the computer per instructions in the Quick Start Guide.
- Connect the Gigabeat's AC adapter to the Gigabeat, and to an AC outlet.
- Turn the Gigabeat on. Allow Windows a few seconds to detect the Gigabeat.
- Start Windows Media Player version 10.
- Click the Sync tab.
- Click the Edit Playlist button and select the audio files you wish to copy to the Gigabeat.
- Make sure “Gigabeat” is the selected device on the right side. You will see a list of the files already copied to the Gigabeat, once it has been selected.
- Click the Start Sync button.
When the synchronization is finished, you will see “Synchronizing 100 percent complete” at the bottom of the “Items to syncronize” column. You should now be able to play the audio files on the Gigabeat.
