
MSGSRV32 causes General protection fault in OPL3SA.DRV

- ISSUE: Details of the error will indicate that MSGSRV32 caused a general protection fault in module OPL3SA.DRV.
RESOLUTION:
1. Boot the computer in Safe-Mode
2. Go to Device Manager and remove the YAMAHA OPL3-SA SOUND SYSTEM
3. Restart the computer
4. Press F8 at the OS LOAD IN PROGRESS screen
5. Select COMMAND PROMPT ONLY then press ENTER
6. Change directory to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
7. Delete the following files: OPL3SA.DRV and VOPL3SA.VXD.
8. Reboot the computer. The sound system will Plug-n-Play and will ask for the YAMAHA OPL3-SA Audio Driver disk.
9. Once the drivers have been installed the system will then boot normally.
