- Issue:
A 33.6 Kbps modem--- It does contain the new label stating 33,600bps v.34. However , in Device Manager and in the Modem Icon under Control Panel the reference states "NW288CR".
Solution:
There are two ways to verify the modem is at 33.6Kbps.
*note: The modem must have a live connection via Hyperterminal.
1. In Control Panel under Modems, go to the diagnostics tab and highlight the NW288CR Modem and click on "more info". The ati3 line should indicate a REV 1.510-0.
2. In Hyperterminal type at + ms? . The response should be 11,1,300,33600 if the modem is 33.6 capable.
