Information: 1. Remove reference to Modem in Device Manager
2. In Control Panel, double click on the Modems icon, select the 'Other'' radio button and click next.
3. Click next. ( the system will begin searching for a modem).

*** In the 'Verify Modem' dialog box, the modem is found as a standard modem.

4. Click the 'Change' button.
5. On the Manufacturers side select Toshiba and on the Models side select the 2nd choice
'Toshiba Internal Modem (V.80 28.8 Data+Fax+Voice)'.

6. Click OK and then click Next.

*** A Wave Device for Voice Modem message will flash by and begin the
'Update Device Driver Wizard' dialog box.
7. Click Next and wait a few seconds, then click Finish.
8. Click Finish one more time and click the OK button in the Modem Properties dialog box.

*** In Device Manager, the Sound, video and game controllers section contains an exclamation
point on the Wave Device for Voice Modem reference.

9. Highlight the Wave Device reference and select properties.
10. Select the Driver tab.
11. Click on the Update driver button.
12. Choose No, select driver from list radio button and then click Next.
13. Sound, video and game controllers will be highlighted, click Next.
14. Select Toshiba on the Mfg. side and click Finish.
Note:
If Toshiba is not an option, manually copy the Toswave.inf file on the modem diskette created from MDC or downloaded from online service to the \Windows\INF folder.
Repeat steps 9-15

15. Select Close on remaining windows, and Restart system.
