Configuring system to turn on automatically

Information
If the computer has TAP (Toshiba Access Panel)

These instructions apply to Windows 95. The options may be different under DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.x or Windows NT 4.0
  1. Go to "Control Panel" (Start-Settings-Control Panel).
  2. Double Click on Icon labeled "Toshiba System".
  3. On the TAB labeled "Start Up Options" change "Start Up Mode" from "BOOT" to "RESUME".
  4. Select "Trigger resume when modem receives an incoming call" to have the computer turn on when the modem is receiving a call.
  5. If you wish to have the computer turn on at a certain time. Go to the TAB labeled "Power-on Timer"
  6. Change "Status" from "OFF" to "ON".
  7. On the "Settings" section you will be given the option to set the time you want the computer to turn on.


NOTE. THE COMPUTER WILL NOT TURN ON IF IT IS NOT IN RESUME.

If the computer does not have TAP (Toshiba Access Panel)
  1. Click on "OPTION" menu in "MAXTIME".
  2. Select "Machine Settings".
  3. Go to TAB labeled "System Configuration"
  4. Enable "RESUME" mode.
  5. You can place a check mark on the "Ring Indicator" option to have the computer turn on when the modem is receiving a call.
  6. You can remove the check mark on the "Disable Alarm Time" and you can change the time and date you want the computer to turn on.


PLEASE NOTE. THE COMPUTER WILL NOT TURN ON IF IT IS NOT IN RESUME. THAT IS TO SAY IF THE CUSTOMER HAS DONE A SHUTDOWN RATHER THAN RESUME IT WILL NOT TURN ON.
