- Information
- MPLAYER causes a general protection fault when you launch Windows 3.1x Media Player after you complete the installation of the software drivers that ship with the Noteworthy NWZVMPEG1 card.
The default driver is set to 65550 800x600x256 on a 500CDT computer.- Use Master Disk Creator to make the install disk for the Toshiba Win 3.X Video drivers.
- Exit Windows, and run the setup program from this disk to install the video drivers.
- When the setup program is complete, go into Windows, run the Windows setup program by double-clicking its icon in the Program Manager group called MAIN.
- Click on options,
- click change system settings,
- click on the down arrow at the end of the line that lists the current display driver, and select one of the drivers that has an * in front of it. Note: Card Wizard will show the ZVPORT/MPEG-1 card in the slot but as unrecognized. This is fine. Just run the setup disk that came with the card, and then follow the above procedure for correcting the GPF error whenever you try and run Media Player (Mplayer).
