- ISSUE: How to remove Dock1
Laptop:500 series and Tecras when using Docking Station V+
Note: When using a machine for the first time on a Docking Station V+, the system will build a hardware profile called "Dock 1".
Scenario: Usually on some machines, using Docking Station V+ for the first time the system hangs up, this will happen when resume mode is enabled. Resume Mode is a bookmark. When attempting to bootup outside of the docking station, resume mode will remember the Dock1 configuration.
Resolution:
1. Boot the system in safe mode
2. Go to Control Panel/system
3. Click on Hardware Profile
4. Highlight Dock1
5. Click on Delete and click OK
6. At that point Dock1 is deleted
Note:
When undocking from docking station's always disable "RESUME MODE"before undocking the machine.
