
DVD Decoder Initialize Error

- This solution only applies to models 750DVD and 750 CDM
In Device Manager, under Sound, Video, Game Controllers, verify the Toshiba DVD Decoder Board V2.0 is installed. If there is no entry, follow the procedure below:
1. The system did not properly install the PCI Multimedia Device (DVD Decoder V2.0)
A. Check under Other (?) in Device Manager and remove any reference to PCI Multimedia or DVD.
B. Go to the Windows\INF\Other folder and remove the TOSHIBADVD02.INF file.
C. Go to the Windows\INF folder and remove the two .BIN files
D. Restart the system and let it autodetect the PCI Multimedia Device (DVD Decoder V2.0)
E. Click next, then next again
F. Select Other Locations
G. Click on Browse
H. Click on CD-ROM Drive
I. Double Click on the DVD folder then click OK, then OK again.
J. Click on Finish. When asked for the DVD Soft Setup Disk V2.0, click Browse, then the CD-ROM drive, then type E:\DVD in the file name box, then click OK.
K. When install is complete, check settings in Sound, Video, and Game Controllers of Device Manager. If not present, start over.
L. Restart the unit.
2. A. Insert the Toshiba Recovery/Applications CD
B. Locate and click on DVD Soft Setup Drivers
C. Click Install. Press any key and follow the on screen prompts.
D. Leave the shared files alone (lvctl.dll, LVRender.ax)
E. Install in the selected directory
F. If needed, reset the display drivers to the S3 ViRGE/DX. If not accepted, use the M5 option.
G. If asked for disk 2, type in E:\DVD\DISK2
H. Restart the unit and test DVD Player.
