Information
Removal of A Network Adapter and Network Services
Write down the properties of the Network Adapter
  1. Adapter name
  2. IRQ setting
  3. Memory Base Address
  4. I/O Port Address
  5. Bus type and number
  6. IP address (only if using TCP/IP Protocol)
  7. Subnet Mask (only if using TCP/IP Protocol)

1. Click Start Settings Control Pannel
2. Double Click on Network Icon
3. Click on the Adapter Tab
4. Highlight your network Adapter
5. Click the Remove Button
6. A Dialog comes up "This action will permanently remove the component from the system."
7. Click on the yes button
8. Click on the Protocols Tab
9. Highlight the fist Protocol and click on the remove button
10. A Dialog Box pops up telling you that this action will permanently remove this component
11. Click on the yes button
12. Repeat Steps 11 and 12 for the remaining Protocols
13. Click on the Services Tab
14. Highlight the Last service first
15. Click on the remove button
16. A Dialog box pops up "This action will permanently remove the component from the system."
17. Click yes
18. Repeat steps 15 and 16 starting from the bottom up.
19. Click on the Close button
20. Computer will ask you to restart
21. Click yes, system will restart
22. To install a Network Card SEE DOCUMENT ENTITLED "REINSTALLING THE NETWORK ADAPTER CARD AND NETWORKING COMPONENTS"
