IntelliSync 97 Libretto setup

Information: The Libretto 50CT is shipped with a Puma Special Offer Certificate "Free IntelliSync 97 coupon".

Symptom:
The mini-notebook will not connect with the Infrared Port using IntelliSync 97. However it will connect using the Infrared Port and TranXit2.

Solution:
When using TranXit2 the Generic IR Serial Port should be set to COM3 03E8 IRQ4. This setting will not work with IntelliSync.

1) Right Click My Computer and select Properties.
2) Click Device Manager
3) Double click Ports COM and LPT
4) Disable Communication Port COM1 to do so:
a) Double click Communication Port COM1
b) Put a check mark in the box "Disable this device in all configurations"
5) Click Close
6) Double Click Generic IR Serial Port
7) Click on the Resource Tab
8) Take the check mark out of the box "Use Automatic Settings"
9) Change the Basic configuration to 0000 (Input/Output Range 03F8) Click OK
10) Hi-light Interrupt Request and click on Change Setting and select 04 and click OK/OK/YES and YES
to restart the computer

In Device Manager the Generic IR Serial Port will now read COM1

When setting up IntelliSync Click on Connection Setup click close to continue
Right Click on Infrared devices and select IR Wizard
Current Device should read "Toshiba Notebook PC (FIR)"
Click Finish
Start IntelliSync 97
