Information
1. Put in the GPS CARD in the slot, so that Windows will detect the card and the "UPDATE DEVICE DRIVER WIZARD" will start.
2. Click on NEXT: Wizard will say that: "Windows was unable to locate a driver for this device."
3. Click on FINISH.
4. Go to the DEVICE MANAGER: Start/Settings/Control Panel/ Double click on the SYSTEM ICON.
5. Click on the DEVICE MANAGER TAB.
6. Go down to "Other Devices" and click on the plus to open it.
7. Click on "Noteworthy-GPS PC CARD" / "Properties" / "Drivers Tab".
8. Click on the "Update Drivers" Button.
9. Choose "No, select driver from list", then click on "NEXT."
10. Choose "Modems" from the Device List and Click on "NEXT."
11. Choose "Rockwell" under Manufactures.
12. Choose "14400 BPS PCMCIA DATA-FAX MODEM."
13. Click on "Finish" / "Close"
14. In your DEVICE MANAGER, double click on "Ports (COM & LPT)" / "Generic Ir Serial Port (Com2)"
15. Check the "Resource Settings" so that they say: BASIC CONFIGURATION 0002 INPUT/OUTPUT: 03E8-03EF
INTERRUPT REQUEST: 10 (or any free IRQ)
16. If the setting are correct click on "close" / "close."
17. In your DEVICE MANAGER, double click on "Modems" / "Resources"
18. Check the "Resource Settings" so that they say: BASIC CONFIGURATION 0001 INPUT/OUTPUT: 02F8-02FF
INTERRUPT REQUEST: 03
19. If the setting are correct click on "close" / "close."
20. Go to the CONTROL PANEL: Start/Settings/Control Panel/ Double click on the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
21. Click on "INSTALL" /"NEXT".
19. Put disk labeled "Retki version 1.6T disk 1 if 2" in the A: drive and click NEXT and then finish.
20. The software loading process will start, click continue when prompted.
21. When prompted to install type choose Complete and continue.
22. After disk 2 is complete you will be prompted for disk 1 of Maps continue to install all 9 map disks.
23. After install is complete you will see an Icon group with 3 icons along with a "setup is complete" message click OK.
24. Reboot system and then insert the GPS CARD.
25. From the icon group click Retki GPS Land Navigation.
26. Go to Options on the menu bar and pick GPS.
27. Set up Com port = 2.
28. Select GPS time configuration Local time and enter GMT= +7 for PDT, +8 for MDT, +9 for CDT, +10 for EDT. (This
represents how many hours time difference from Greenwich mean time to local time).
29. On the menu bar select GPS. From the drop down menu select enable GPS. There will be a message on the screen
which says GPS enabling.
30. At this point card is installed. For operating instructions refer to manual.
