Information
Using File Transfer:
File Transfer allows you to copy files between two computers, delete files, create folders, and perform other file management tasks. It is based on the familiar Windows 95 Explorer and performs many of the same functions.

Note: You cannot launch files or applications from within File Transfer.

The Left pane of the File Transfer window lists Remote Computers, Outboxes for remote systems, an Express Outbox that transfers files to the next remote connection, your local Inbox, and your local system, including any mapped network drives you are logged on to.

The right pane lists the folders and files in the drive or folder highlighted in the left pane.

RESTRICTED VIEW

By default, the structure of a remote system is hidden from you. See "Setting Your System's Security" for information about setting access rights.

TO COPY OR MOVE FILES OR FOLDERS TO A REMOTE COMPUTER THAT HAS RESTRICTED YOUR VIEW:

Use standard Windows 95 drag and drop or cut/copy and paste techniques to copy or move files and folders from their original location to the remote computer's Outbox.

If you are not connected to a remote computer, you can transfer files to the Express Outbox. The files will be transferred the next time you connect to a remote system.

The files appear in the remote computer's Inbox. The remote user then moves them to their destination.

FULL VIEW

All drives, folders, and files from your local system and from remote systems that have given you Full View access appear in the File Transfer window.

TO COPY, MOVE, OR DELETE FILES OR FOLDERS IN FULL VIEW MODE:

Use standard Windows 95 drag and drop or cut/copy and paste techniques to copy, move, or delete files and folders directly from their original location to their final destination.
