3. Insert the Recovery CD into the CD-ROM drive
4. Restart the computer

6. At the Warning screen: "All contents of the hard disk drive will be erased" press C to Continue.
7. At the Prompt enter user information, accept the agreement and enter the Certificate of Authenticity number. (COA)
Tip - Don't install a device during the initial setup even if you will be during normal operation. you can always install one after the system has fully installed and operating. This will allow the system devices configuration of the machine to detect the onboard devices properly without any writing to system files ( SYSTEM.INI , CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT ) that may cause conflicts during the fist successful boot of Windows thereby corrupting the System.1st file which can be used to restore the system properly if needed.
Some systems have the option of booting directly from the CD-ROM instead of the Floppy drive or Hard drive only.
Follow below.
System Boot priority manipulation
There is an optional procedure for accessing the Toshiba Recovery CD-ROM, which begins the reconfiguration process of the system.
First you must access TSETUP or the BIOS by pressing escape (ESC) during the beginning of the Boot process. This will give the response to - Check system press F1.
Pressing the F1 key will activate the Bios display.
Within the BIOS there is an option for selecting the boot priority within the area titled, OTHERS, from its normal Floppy Disc Drive - Hard Disc Drive to a selection of CD-ROM - Floppy Disc Drive - to Hard Disc Drive. The CD-ROM boot selection is an added option to this system.
The recovery CD is considered a bootable CD.
Once the recovery CD is running the reconfiguration process will continue as normal.
