Information: When launching the DVD player to play a DVD movie, the system gets an error message "Error render file" or "Unable to create video surface", DVD is not able to play. The resolution to this issue is to set the display property Settings to 16 Bit. Video will not work with 256 color, nor 24 Bit.

1. Right click on any area of blank on the Windows desktop and click on properties
2. Click on the setting tab
3. Click the down arrow in the Color Palette box
4 Click on High color 16 bit and click apply
5. At the prompt to restart the computer click yes
