- Procedure
- Click Start/Shutdown/Shut down the computer

(Note: electrical damage may result from changing connections to a PS/2 port while the computer power is on. Step 1 turns off power so that this does not occur.) - Rename AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS to something else, such as AUTOEXEC.Z and CONFIG.Z, then re-start Windows 95
- Use Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Device Manager
- Double click Mouse
- Click the "Toshiba Acupoint" entry, then click Remove
- Click any other mouse entries and click Remove
- Click Remove from specific configuration
- Click Close
- Click Start/Shutdown/Restart the computer
- When the system reboots Windows 95 should detect the AccuPoint
- Click Start/Shutdown/Shut down the computer
- When the power is off, plug in the PS/2 mouse
- Turn the computer back ON
- When the system reboots it should detect the PS/2 Mouse
If the PS/2 mouse is still not detected, perform the following:
- Click Start/Settings/Control Panel/Mouse
- Click General
- Click Change
