NOTEWORTHY ETHERNET LAN CARD AND SERVER SETUP

1. Insure PCMPLUS3 has configured card.
   a: Socket Number: 0

   Status: Card configured successfully

   Manufacturer: IBM Corp.

   Model: Ethernet

   Type: Network LAN Adapter

   Memory Window 1: D400h - D7FFh

   Memory Window 2: None

   I/O Winow 1: 300h - 38Fh

   I/O Winow 2: 310h - 31Fh

   IRQ: 5

2. Edit CONFIG.SYS file line which contains your EMS memory manager to exclude the range listed in the Memory Window 1: shown above
   Example

   DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS HIGHSCAN X=C800-C8FF X=D400-D7FF

3. Create a network directory called NETWORK and copy the following items to it.
   a: Copy the PCMSCD.COM file from the Noteworthy Adapter Diskette to:
   NETWORK

   b: Create a NET.CFG file that contains at least the following and copy to the:

   Link Driver pcmdmcs

   frame ethernet_802.3

   int 5

   port 300

   mem d4000

   NOTE: Memory range uses 4 digits in this file compared to 3 in CONFIG.SYS.

   c: Insure the following files are in the NETWORK
   LSL.COM

   IPXODI.COM

   NETX.COM

   NOTE: See your network administrator for these files if you need them.

4. Create a NET.BAT file in your ROOT directory (C:\) which contains the following:
   NET.BAT

   C:\NETWORK\LSL

   C:\NETWORK\PCMDMCS

   C:\NETWORK\IPXODI

   C:\NETWORK\NETX

5. You can either add your Login sequence to the end of the NET.BAT file you just created or to the end of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
