
Reconfiguration of PCMCIA Floppy Drive For Libretto 50CT

- Issue
- The PCMCIA floppy drive for the Libretto will work in DOS mode without any drivers. For the floppy to work in Windows 95, a driver is required. This procedure will reconfigure the PCMCIA floppy drive in Windows 95
- Procedure
- Download the file L50UTILS.EXE from the Toshiba Web Site
- Save the file in the C:\ directory when asked where to save the file.
- Boot the computer into Windows 95
- Click Start/Programs/Windows Explorer
- Double click DOS directory
- Double click L50utils.exe
- This will display a WinZip self extractor message
- Click ok
- Accept the default directory of L50UTILS, click Unzip
- A message will appear that Unzip completed successfully
- Close the README screen.
- Click Start/Settings/Control Panel
- Double click add new hardware
- Click next on welcome screen
- Click no so Windows will not search new hardware
- Click next
- Double click Floppy disk controller
- Click have disk
- In field for "copy manufacturers files from," change drive letter from A: to C:\L50UTILS
- Click ok
- Under models screen, Toshiba PCMCIA floppy will be highlighted
- Click next twice
- Click finish to install drivers.
