Procedure describes how to reconfigure the NoteWorthy Audio/Video capture card
Procedure
  1. Click Start/Programs/MS-DOS Prompt. At the C:\WINDOWS prompt, type "CD\" and press the "Enter" key.
  2. Type "Edit Config.sys" and press the "Enter" key. Locate the Device= line for "EMM386" and place "REM" at the beginning of the line.
  3. Locate any Device= lines that refer to "CardWorks" and place a "REM " at the beginning of each line.
  4. Hold the "ALT" key and press "F", let up on the ALT key and press " X". Press the "Enter" key to save the CONFIG.SYS file. Type "exit" and press the "Enter" key to return to Windows 95.
  5. Insert the "Audio/video program install" disk into the floppy and click Start/Run, type "A:\SETUP" and press Enter.
  6. Click "Continue" on the welcome screen. On the install screen, accept all defaults for installation and click "Install".
  7. Once installation finishes, an "Install was successful" message will appear. Click "OK" and restart Windows 95.
  8. Have the Video device connected to the "Audio/Video Capture Card".
  9. Click Start/Programs/NoteWorthy Video Capture Card. Click " NoteWorthy Video".
  10. A message will display "Calibrating Card", click "OK." The video picture should display within 30 seconds.
  11. If there is no video or bad video, follow the next steps to reconfigure the "Audio/Video Capture Card".
  12. Click Start/Settings/Control Panel. Double click the "System Icon." Click Device Manager.
  13. Double click "Sound, video and game controllers." Single click "NoteWorthy Audio/Video Capture"
  14. Click "Remove" and "OK" to remove the device. Close Device Manager. Restart Windows 95.
  15. Once Windows 95 restarts, a "New Hardware" message will display.
  16. If Windows 95 asks for a diskette, insert the "Audio/Video Driver" disk. Click "OK" to install driver. When installation finishes, restart Windows 95.
  17. If disk is unavailable, click here to download the file "AVCWIN95.EXE".
  18. Once Windows 95 restarts, click Start/Settings/Control Panel. Double click System icon. Click Device manager.
  19. Double click "Sound/Video and Game Controller." Verify that the "Audio/Video Card" has no conflicts. Close Device Manager.
  20. Have the Video device connected to the Audio/Video Capture Card.
  21. Click Start/Programs/NoteWorthy Video Capture Card. Click "NoteWorthy Video." A message will display "calibrating card." Click "OK." Video picture should display.
