- How to obtain and install the new NW627.EXE 21 key keypad driver
- Procedure
- If there is no driver diskette available, download NW627.EXE from Toshiba's BBS (949-837-4408.)
- Shut the computer off and plug the keypad into the 9 pin Serial Port. Once the Keypad is plugged into the Serial Port, turn the computer back on.
- After Windows 95 has started and has stabilized, insert the floppy diskette for the Serial Keypad into the floppy drive.
- Click Start/Run, type "A:\INSTALL" and press the "Enter" key.
- On the installation screen, press "1" for Express Installation. Press "Y' to continue installation.
- When the message "Press any key to exit," appears, press the "Enter" key to complete the installation.
- Click Start/Shut down/Restart the computer.
- After Windows 95 has started and has stabilized, click Start/Programs/MS-DOS Prompt. At the C:\WINDOWS> prompt type "EDIT SYSTEM.INI" and press the "Enter" key.
- Hold the "ALT" key and press "S", then press the "Enter" key.
- In the "Find what" box, type DELAY and press the "Enter" key. DELAY will be highlighted. Press the right arrow key, and edit the DELAY value from "3C" to "FC".
- Hold the "ALT" key and press "F." Release the "ALT" key and press "X" to exit. Press the "Enter" key to save the SYSTEM.INI file.
- The C:\WINDOWS> prompt appears. Type "exit" and press "Enter" to return to Windows 95.
- Click Start/Shutdown/Restart the Computer. Click "Yes" to restart Windows 95.
- Once Windows 95 restarts the NoteWorthy Serial Keypad will be successfully configured.
