
Pink screen when playing DVD movies using Toshiba Video Viewer

- The following procedure will reinstall the Toshiba Video Viewer.
NOTE: Before removing any software from the computer verify that the Toshiba Back-up Utilities CD is available.
- Boot the computer into Windows 95.
- Click Start/Settings/Control Panel. Double click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the tab "Install/Uninstall" locate the program "Toshiba Video Viewer" and single click the program to highlight.
- Click the Add/Remove button to uninstall "Toshiba Video Viewer. Click "OK" to confirm the removal of "Toshiba Video Viewer".
- In the tab "Install/Uninstall" locate the program "DVD Video Player 1.01" and single click the program to highlight.
- Click the Add/Remove button to uninstall "DVD Video Player 1.01". Click "OK" to confirm the removal of "DVD Video Player 1.01".
- Close the "Add/Remove Programs" window.
- Double click the "System" icon in Control Panel, single click "Device Manager".
- Double click "Sound, video and game controllers".
- Single click "Toshiba DVD (PCI) Decoder Board"; click the "Remove" button to remove this device.
- Close "Device Manager" and restart Windows 95. During the boot-up of Windows 95 insert the "Toshiba Back-up Utilities CD".
- During the boot-up of Windows a "New Hardware" message will display for "PCI Multimedia Device".
- Click "Next" on the "Update Device Driver Wizard" screen.
- Once Windows loads the drivers click "Finish"
- A message will appear to insert disk, click "OK".
- On the line "Copy files from" change the path to "E:\DVD" and click "OK". This will load the" Toshiba DVD Decoder" drivers.
- Click Start/Run, on the "Open" line type "E:\DVD\Setup.exe" and click "OK" to start the installation.
- Click "Next" on the welcome screen. Accept all defaults for the "destination directory" and click" Next".
- Click "ATI/RageII/LT" under the "Select Components Windows, click "Next".
- On the "Path" line type in "E:\DVD\" and click "OK" to start copying the files.
- Once the installation finishes restart Windows 95.
- Once Windows 95 restarts click Start/Run, on the "Open" line type: "E:\vidview\disk1\setup.exe" and click "OK" to start the installation.
- Click "Next" on the welcome screen. Accept all defaults for the "destination directory" and click "Next".
- Accept all defaults for the "Program Folders" and click "Next" 2 times to start copying files.
Once the installation finishes restart Windows 95 and the DVD program will be installed successfully. - Export Control and EULA
