Issue
When installing Windows NT from a bootable CD on a system equipped with a MegaRAID Controller, Windows NT will report the following error after loading the MegaRAID drivers "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer."
Procedure
  1. Restart the Windows NT installation and perform the following steps:1. After the system begins to boot off the CD, the display will read "Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration". Press the "F6" key immediately upon seeing this message.
  2. Windows NT will display a dialog that allows the user to specify additional Hard Drive controllers that will be loaded BEFORE setup begins the auto-detection process for HD Controllers. Press the "S" key to specify additional controllers and when prompted, insert the "MegaRAID Drivers" diskette. Select the MegaRAID driver for Windows NT and proceed with the Windows NT installation as normal.

In order for Windows NT to recognize any drives on the MegaRAID controller, it must be loaded before any other controllers. This errata effects the WINNT /X /B installation method as well. However, this errata does not seem to effect the MegaRAID when performing a Floppy/CD based installation.
