Toshiba portable computers that have the factory-installed Windows XP software bundle may have a "Buy at ToshibaDirect" link in the Windows Start Menu.

Follow these steps if you would like to remove this ToshibaDirect link from the Start Menu:

1. Right-click the Windows Taskbar, then click Properties.

2. Click the Start Menu tab.

3. Click the Customize button.

4. Click the Advanced tab, then scroll through the Start Menu Items list to find the "Manufacturer Link" item.

5. Clear the checkbox next to Manufacturer Link and click OK, Apply, and OK.

The "Buy at ToshibaDirect" link should no longer appear in the Start Menu.
