- Issue
The error message "There is insufficient memory to load SoundFont banks", may appear, indicating that not enough memory has been allocated to the SoundFont Bank Manager. This may occur when a SoundFont-compatible MIDI file is loaded or played.
- Resolution
Follow one or more of these suggestions to insure that there is sufficient memory for the SoundFont Bank Manager:- Remove one or more SoundFont banks from your SoundFont cache, as follows:
1. Click the Bank button. The Configure Bank dialog box appears.
2. Click the Select Bank drop-down button, and select a bank index.
- In the Configure Bank dialog box of SoundFont Bank Manager, select a smaller SoundFont bank, if available, from the Select Bank box.
- Increase the amount of memory installed in your computer.
The amount of SoundFont cache you can allocate depends upon the total amount of memory installed in your computer. The computer may run more slowly if a lot of memory is allocated to the SoundFont Bank Manager.
